This year New Cool Collective will be celebrating their 20th anniversary. A new album, several tours, special gigs and appearances will be happening all year. At Dox Records we asked some of the band's old and new acquaintances to record a message for NCC's jubilee
New Cool Collective bestaat dit jaar 20 jaar! Dit vieren zij met een tour en een nieuw album 'Chin Chin'. Hun 20-jarige bestaan laten wij bij Dox Records natuurlijk niet ongehoord voorbij gaan. Daarom vroegen wij oude bekenden en nieuwe vrienden van de band om een boodschap in te spreken met daarin een leuke anekdote of herinnering.
The album ‘Chin Chin’ will be released 24 May as a special deluxe edition! It is a record containing many different styles; think crime jazz, burlesque and Ian Siegal’s Swagger. Austro-Hungarian-American director, producer and actor Otto Preminger was also an influence for the band.
The album consists of new recordings as well as tracks written specially for the soundtrack of the film 'Toegetakeld door de liefde' (Devastated by Love) by Ari Deelder. A vinyl version (gatefold double LP) will be available later this summer.
